Storyboarding exercise – Speed and Direction

One of our tasks for this week was to create simple storyboard with no less than 7 frames, and no more than 20 frames, that showed two objects/people/animals etc moving at different speeds from different directions, and these two objects would eventually meet. I chose to have my characters be a tortoise and a rabbit because tortoises are known for being slow, and hares are known for being fast, it only seemed fitting.

I tried to show how slow the tortoise was moving by making every frame he’s in be exactly the same, with him only advancing a few paces each time, and I tried to show how fast the rabbit was moving by giving him a giant dust cloud, and making the backgrounds blur as he runs past them.
